Licence

The Trello Power-Up Card QR Code is free to use. In the free version, the QR code colour and the size of the printed code can be configured individually for each card.

Version 2 of the Power-Up has introduced a very simple subscription system, which gives you access to additional functionality, enabling you to:

  • Configure the text that surrounds the QR code. To do that you can use the same markup language of a Trello card description;
  • Use placeholders to further customize the text above and below the QR code. These are replaced, in both the display and the printout views, by the relevant parameters addressed.
  • Use alignment commands to change the default centered alignment for any or all of the elements (the QR code and the text above and below).
  • Define a particular configuration as the default template for the board. A configuration — the QR code color, its printed dimension, and the text above and below it — can be defined to be associated with a specific card, or can be set as default for all the cards in the board. This last option is only available in a licensed version.

Two types of licences are available: the first is board-specific, valid for all the cards and for every user of that board; the second is workspace-specific and applies to all the cards and users in all the boards of that workspace. The board-specific licence currently costs £10 per year, while the workspace-specific is £30 per year. The amounts indicated are in GBP, but you will be charged in your own currency.

Free trial

You can try the licensed version for free for 21 days, by activating it directly from the Licence view of the Power-Up. This process does not involve the PayPal servers, so it does not require any payment or personal details to be provided. At the end of the trial period, should you decide not to go ahead with the purchase, the Power-Up will simply revert to the free version.

You can find the Free trial activation button in the Licence view of the free version.

Privacy and cancellation

Card QR Code uses PayPal Subscriptions and does not store any customer or payment details. The only stored parameters are the PayPal subscription ID and the ID of the board or the workspace where it is installed: these are needed when implementing the paid functionality.

You can cancel a licence at any time directly from inside the Power-Up.

Since a Card QR Code subscription is a standard PayPal subscription, you also have full control of your subscription from your PayPal account, from where you can delete your subscription as an alternative to doing it directly in the Power-Up.

The above is the licence status view (with the option to cancel the subscription) in case of a board-based licence.
